Today is World Photobook Day and one of my pictures from Head of the Lion project is the new homepage of Micamera Milan Bookstore. Thanks and Happy Photobook Day to everyone!
It's an honour to have my book The Recent History of Sicilian Skateboard Tours selected to be part of Self Publish, Be Happy collection. Thank you very much!
My friend Anna Adamo suggested this song to look at a new beautiful book I just got. It seems perfect for the pictures. The book is End of an Age by Paul Graham.
Young British photographer Richard Billingham documents his dramatic family life. This video almost made me cry and I think I have a new favorite book out there.
Thanks Flavio Franzoni for telling me about it. It was great talking with you.
Just watched a very interesting doc about German publisher and printer Gerhard Steidl. Link HERE
A great project. Because yeah, NYC is really about passion.
Recently I've read a very nice article called 11 Tips on Making a Photography Book with Bruno Ceschel by Eric Kim. In the article I've read about Twentysix Gasoline Stations (Ed Ruscha, 1963) which is considered the precursor of the modern artist's book culture. Take a look at the preview of the book HERE and at the full article by Eric Kim HERE
(based on a true story) by David Alan Harvey. It looks just great and I also love the video they made to present the book. Very sensual. So much energy from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Enjoy!
A very nice video about the book The Lonely Ones by Gus Powell (J&L Books). You can visit his exhibition and get the book at Micamera, Milan.
If you are in Los Angeles make sure not to miss CYBERNETICS, the new exhibition by Hamburger Eyes at Slow Culture Gallery. Hamburger Eyes is a street photography magazine celebrating 15 years of printing. I'm very happy I had the chance to collaborate with them on their issue N.18.

The first book shown in the video is Ari Marcopoulos' Directory. Ari Marcopoulos has been pioneering contemporary photography documenting subcultures such as graffity artists and skateboarders. Take a look at this great book published by Nieves (copublished with Rizzoli).
